ABOUT REDEARTHCITY TALKS
The red kangaroo is the largest of all kangaroos, the largest mammal native to Australia,
and the largest extant marsupial. It is found across mainland Australia, avoiding only the more
fertile areas in the south, the east coast, and the northern rainforests.

The purpose of REDEarthCity Talks (RED Talks) is to enhance the experience for participants at Burning Seed through inspiring and imaginative Talks and Performances that relate to the Burning Seed event theme and Burning Man principles. The inaugural REDEarthCity Talks event was held in October 2013.
We took a break in 2015 to reconsider the format, purpose and running of the event. We are looking forward to our third year of hosting RED Talks at Burning Seed in October 2016.

The original "talks" at Black Rock City started in 2011 led by Burner and event organizer Klaudia Oliver.
“The event was a day of talks and performances that explored and embodied the frontiers of human knowledge and experience. The speakers and performers reflected a wide variety of the creative dimensions of Black Rock City. The goal was to explore the frontiers of art, dance, civic action, ecology, music, design, philosophy and technology, illuminating and to provide a stage for what is most profound about the remarkable Burner community.”

We were proud to achieve similar outcomes at the Australian Burning Man event in 2013 to foster active learning, conversation and celebration of the creative explorations that sustain and flourish within Burner communities - principles which can change the world.
